About
If you haven't already guessed, my name is Andrew Olson and I am an Engineer. I have a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly - SLO. I've been building, designing, making and destroying taking apart things since I was a wee lad. My current interests include mechatronics, control systems, prototype development, aviation/space systems, R & D, modeling/simulation and computational engineering.
I also have a few hobbies and other activities that aren't totally related to engineering. I enjoy riding bikes and swimming. I'm also getting back into soccer after a 9 year stint. I am also a huge fan of videogames, whether it be old retro games on a SNES or RPGs/shooters on the 360. And when I'm not writing code for microcontrollers, I like to code to solve puzzles from places like facebook, project euler, and codercharts. Solving puzzles helps me to learn to code better, more efficient and to learn algorithms. I love to learn and consider myself a life long learner.
I'm also teaching myself German. I have become very interested in learning languages and how people acquire languages. So talk to me in German!
